Graduate Grams — A Mercer Island Tradition

For 50 years, family, friends, businesses, and community organizations have sent Grad Grams to Mercer Island students to acknowledge their graduation. Grad Grams are available to purchase for students completing 5th, 8th and 12th grades. 

Each Grad Gram is printed on parchment paper, personalized with your congratulatory message, and mailed directly to the graduate’s home. Grad Grams purchased by Friday, May 15 will arrive before graduation. The final deadline to purchase Grad Grams is Friday, June 5, 2026.

All proceeds from the sales of Grad Grams go to the Mercer Island Community Scholarship Program, which recognizes outstanding MIHS graduating seniors. Scholarship recipients demonstrate perseverance, a passion for learning, a team player mentality, and are positive contributors to their classroom and community. 

You can support this program by purchasing Grad Grams or by donating directly to the MI Community Scholarship Program. Your contributions allow our community to provide over 20 students with scholarship funds, up to $500 each, for future educational expenses.
