Mercer Island School District administrators, teachers and staff,
Thank you for the important and meaningful work you do in teaching, guiding and supporting our students.
The "I Wish..." Project is coordinated by MI Parent Edge, a program within the MI PTA Council. The goal of this project is to center our students' voices. Students in elementary, middle and high school were invited to anonymously respond to guided prompts and share things they wish parents, teachers and their peers knew.
We hope you will read the student responses with an open mind and heart and truly hear the student voices. Our students are telling us what they need and want and are being vulnerable in sharing their challenges and successes. As parents, teachers, and community members, we are the trusted adults in their lives who can provide support and guidance.
Thank you for taking the time to hear our student voices.
