We welcome Lisa Lewis, sleep expert and author of "The Sleep-Deprived Teen" to discuss the importance of sleep for children and adolescents.

Well-rested kids are happier and healthier and do better in school. They're more emotionally resilient. And they're easier to live with!

In The Sleep-Deprived Teen, journalist and sleep expert Lisa L. Lewis will provide parents with the roadmap to more (and better) sleep for their children and adolescents – and perhaps even for themselves.

In this event, Lewis synthesizes the research to provide parents with actionable information and strategies, including:

  • The science of why sleep matters and how it changes during the adolescent years
  • How sleep fits into child/adolescent development, and how sleep changes during the adolescent years
  • Why sleep is essential for mental health, academic performance, athletic performance and more
  • How parents can work with their kids to establish good sleep habits and minimize tensions around the topic
