Grad Grams 2025

Grad Grams -- A Mercer Island Tradition!

 

For the past 30+ years, family, friends, businesses, and community organizations have sent Grad Grams to Mercer Island students to acknowledge their graduation. In 2025, this program will focus on our 5th, 8th and 12th grade graduates.

 

All proceeds from the sales of Grad Grams go to the Mercer Island Community Scholarship Program, which recognizes outstanding MIHS graduating seniors. Scholarship recipients demonstrate perseverance, a passion for learning, a team player mentality, and are positive contributors to their classroom and community.

 

You can support this program by purchasing Grad Grams or by donating directly to the MI Community Scholarship Program. Your contributions allow our community to provide 28 students with scholarship funds, up to $500 each, for future educational expenses.

 

In 2025, Grad Grams are available to purchase for students completing 5th, 8th and 12th grades. Each Grad Gram is printed on parchment paper, personalized with your congratulatory message, and mailed directly to the graduate’s home. The deadline to purchase Grad Grams is Friday, May 30, 2025.

STEP #1: Determine who is on your Grad Gram list

For your convenience, below is a list of students in the Mercer Island School District to build your list of Grad Gram recipients.

> Don't forget about friends, neighbors and classmates from clubs and activities!

Don't see your graduating 5th, 8th or 12th grade student on the list? Please send your child's name, grade, school and mailing address to gradgrams@miptacouncil.org.

 

 Step #2: Select the quantity of Grad Grams in each Category

Select the number of Grad Grams you are purchasing for each category.  After selecting the quantity below for each category, the corresponding number of boxes will appear and you will be asked to select a student's name from the dropdown list of names. 

NOTE:  This form allows you to purchase a maximum of 25 Grad Grams per level (5th, 8th and 12th).  If you would like to place more than 25 orders, simply complete the transaction and then start a new form for the additional Grad Grams.  If you have questions, please contact GradGrams@miptacouncil.org.
 

 

 

Step #3:  Personalize each Grad Gram

Student Name (required):
Select the graduate's name from the list provided. This is the name that will appear on the Grad Gram unless you provide a Nickname.  

 

Nickname (optional):
If you would like to use the student's "Nickname" instead of the first name listed in the dropdown list, please enter the alternate first name in the "Nickname" field below.  Please enter the alternate first name below using capital and lowercase letters. The nickname entered in this field will appear on the certificate EXACTLY as typed.

 

From (required):
Enter your name as you would like it to appear on the Graduate Gram. Example: "The Smith Family," or "Jane, Bob, Matthew and Susie Smith."  Maximum of 60 characters (including punctuation and spaces).

 

Personalized Message (optional):
This message will be printed on the certificate EXACTLY as you type it here. Please double check for typos and errors. You DO NOT need to include your name. The name listed in the "From" field will already appear on the certificate. Personalized message is limited to 200 characters including spaces and punctuation.

Grad Grams are just one way we fund the MI Community Scholarship Program.

Our ability to honor our graduating seniors depends on the generosity of our community during this fundraising campaign. Donations of ANY AMOUNT make a difference!

 

Your contribution will directly impact MI students this academic year.  Grad Gram purchases and MI Community Scholarship Program donations are tax deductible and eligible for corporate match. 

 

Double Your Generous Donation

Many local companies have programs through which they will “match” your charitable contributions.  When combined with your donation, these gifts can double your support to the MI Community Scholarship.  Search on "MI PTA Council" when submitting your contributions for match.

Payment Options

Payments are accepted via Personal Check or Credit Card using LumaPay. You will receive a detailed confirmation along with tax information for your order via email.

 

CREDIT CARD VIA LUMAPAY

If you choose to use LumaPay, a 2.8%  + $.30 per transaction processing fee will automatically be added to your order. By covering this LumaPay processing fee, we are able to maximize your donation to the scholarship fund. If you do not want to incur this fee, please select payment by Personal Check

 

PERSONAL CHECK
If you chose to pay by Personal Check the confirmation will provide details for mailing your check. Checks can be made out to "MI PTA Council"
