Student Voices for Change
Student Voices for Change (SVC) is a coalition of 13 BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) or marginalized Mercer Island High School clubs that have come together to promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on the campus and throughout the community.
SVC is led by Assistant Principal Erica Hill. Students lead the initiatives, but staff and parents help to make sure the students’ passions are realized. There is strength in numbers, so it’s exciting to see so many students with different perspectives working together!
Here’s a list of the 13 MIHS clubs represented in Student Voices for Change:
- Art Club
- Asian Collective Club
- Black Student Union (BSU)
