Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month Sept. 15-Oct. 15
Hispanic Heritage Month takes place September 15 to October 15 as a time to recognize and celebrate the many achievements, contributions and histories of our American Latinx and Hispanic communities.
On September 14, 2021, President Biden issued a presidential proclamation about National Hispanic Heritage Month.
Here are some ways to celebrate and recognize Hispanic Heritage Month with your family:
- Read these suggested children’s books from The Conscious Kid and Scholastic books celebrating Hispanic and Latinx voices.
- Attend some community events, such as the SeaMar Fiestas Patrias Festival (September 17 and 18) at the Seattle Center or Mexam NW Festival (September 10-October 15) at a variety of locations.
