The Gift of Failure: Increasing Motivation, Competence, and Self-Efficacy
Wednesday, March 12, 2025, 5:30 - 6:30 pm PT, Virtual Event (Live)
Jessica Lahey speaks to parents, educators, school administrators, and community leaders about the science of learning, motivation, engagement, and substance abuse prevention, all in service to the belief that adults have the power to help kids become more autonomous, competent, connected, and fulfilled.
She is the author of the New York Times bestselling book, The Gift of Failure: How the Best Parents Learn to Let Go So Their Children Can Succeed , and The Addiction Inoculation: Raising Healthy Kids in a Culture of Dependence. The Gift of Failure has empowered families to strengthen home-school partnerships, support kids as they learn from their mistakes, and forge stronger, more trusting relationships with children.
Over 20 years, author and educator Jess Lahey has taught every grade from sixth to twelfth in both public and private schools, the last five years in a drug and alcohol rehab for adolescents in Vermont.
This webinar is presented by The Parent Venture, a partner of MI Parent Edge.
