David Feldman, PhD, and Mark Cloutier, MPP, MPH, present "Fostering Youth Mental Health: Building Hope and Resilience in Uncertain Times."

Being an adolescent today is different. In addition to the usual developmental challenges, youth are grappling with school success, social media, racial inequity, and real-life events like school shootings, climate change, and natural disasters.

In this special presentation, clinical psychologist David B. Feldman, PhD, will discuss coping strategies and healthy habits in support of children and teens. As a community, we want our youth to become more hopeful, more resilient, and better able to handle life's uncertainties.

Dr. David Feldman is a Professor of Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University. Considered one of the nation’s foremost experts on hope, his research has addressed such topics as hope, meaning, and growth in the face of highly stressful circumstances. He is also the author of four books including Supersurvivors: The Surprising Link Between Suffering and Success.

Dave will be joined by Mark Cloutier, MPP, MPH, Chief Executive Officer at Caminar. Mark has dedicated his career to increasing access to quality health and supportive services for underserved communities and improving the overall health and well-being of individuals and families.
